sysconfig

Sysvconfig

This app make it easier for me to set run levels, edit/ disable services..
This is the same like using redhat/fedora/centos or any redhat based OS. In redhat base the command is using “chkconfig” and “service” .

In Ubuntu, I install sysvconfig.
Search for the package first:

salax@salax-laptop:~$ sudo apt-cache search sysvconfig
sysvconfig – A text menu based utility for configuring init script links

After that install it:

salax@salax-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install sysvconfig

mainsysconfig

enable-disableService

editRunlevels

Restore backup
